FunRaisers was set up in 1996 and provides pupils and their families with fun, social activities and events that bring the Dolphin School community together.  At the same time we raise funds for special school projects as well as providing support to external charities.  FunRaisers became a member of PTA UK in 2002 and a registered charity in 2003.

FunRaisers has grown over the years and relies entirely on the enthusiasm and goodwill of parents and staff at Dolphin School and we have a lot of fun together!

FunRaisers has a committee of 8 people and 16 Class Liaison People (Clippers).  The Clippers are responsible for communicating all FunRaisers events and fundraising information to their year group – they also organise year group activities such as coffee mornings, evening socials and Christmas activities.

FunRaisers events are very popular – we start each year with a lovely welcome BBQ on the school field, where new families can get to know each other and existing families can catch up after the holidays.  For the children we provide the Big Sleepover (Years 5 to 8) in the Hall, Movies and Munchies (Years 1 to 4) and School Disco for all.  We had our first Easter Egg Hunt this year and biennially we hold our very own Summer Fayre!

For the parents we run many events including Quiz and Curry nights, Ceilidhs, Race Nights and Christmas Fayres.

Our Events Team meet regularly to ensure we add fresh ideas to all our events. We raise around £5,000 a year for school projects and recently we have used these funds to develop some wonderful team building equipment in the copse, including the Roundhouse, Firepit and teambuilding apparatus.  We also support various departments around the school – running refreshments at the Book Festival and ice-creams on Sports Days!
